Anterior Drawer Test: Client is supine with hip flexed to 45° and the knee fled to 90°. Practitioner stabilizes the thigh while pulling the shin forward and assesses for anterior translation of the tibia

Purpose:

  • Assess for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear

Indications:

  • Knee injury

Relevance:

  • Positive test – anterior translation of the tibia is indicative of ACL injury
