Aspidosperma quebracho – What are the indications, contraindications, drug interactions?

Aspidosperma quebracho is a stimulating expectorant. It contains alkaloids that can act on the heart and lung, and therefore should not be used long-term.

Indications:

• Wet cough
• Cardiac cough, cardiac asthma

Contraindications:

• Dry cough
• Pregnancy and lactation
