Bounce Home Test: Client is supine. Practitioner passively flexes the client’s hip and knee to 90°, and then allows the knee to passively fall to extension, looking for the knee to ‘bounce’ back into neutral position (slight flexion)

Purpose:

  • Assess for meniscus tear

Indications:

  • Restricted range of motion in the knee
  • Knee injury

Relevance:

  • Positive test – rubbery end-feel or locking of the knee is indicative of meniscal tear.
