Sn. & Sx.:
- Hemianesthesia
- Allodynia and hyperalgesia
- Deep painful stimuli
- Persistent, spontaneous, burning pain contralateral to the lesion
dDx.:
- Complex regional pain syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
Sequelae:
- Impaired social and occupational functioning
Work up:
- Neurological exam
Tx.:
- Tricyclic antidepressants (Amitriptyline)
