Linder’s test – What is the purpose, indication and relevance?

Linder’s Sign: Client is supine. Practitioner stands behind the patient and enforces head, neck and dorsolumbar flexion, placing the client’s trunk into a large “C-shaped” curve.

Purpose:

  • Assess for low back nerve root compression

Indications:

  • Low back pain

Relevance:

  • Positive test – aggravation or reproduction of Radicular pain is indicative of nerve compression
