Lippman’s Test: Client is seated. Practitioner palpates the bicipital tendon in the bicipital tendon groove and flexes the elbow flexed to 90°, passively moving the bicep

Purpose:

  • Assess for bicipital instability

Indications:

  • Shoulder injury

Relevance:

  • Positive test – subluxation of the tendon from the bicipital groove on passive flexion is indicative of bicipital instability
