Nachlas’s Test: Client is prone, practitioner passively flexes the knee, bring the heel to the buttocks.

Purpose:

  • Assess for lumbar or femoral nerve root pathology

Indications:

  • Low back pain

Relevance:

  • Positive test – pain in the lumbar, buttock or posterior thigh is indicative of lumbar or femoral nerve root pathology
