Pelvic rock test – What is the purpose, indication and relevance?

Pelvic Rock Test: Client is supine. Practitioner places downward pressure on the ASIS bilaterally

Purpose:

• Assess for pelvic lesion or fracture

Indications:

• Pelvic trauma

Relevance:

• Positive test – pain on compression is indicative of pelvic lesion
