Tinel’s Sign: Client is seated or standing, practitioner taps over the carpal tunnel on the anterior distal wrist.

Purpose:

  • Assess for carpal tunnel syndrome

Indications:

  • Pain or weakness in the hands

Relevance:

  • Positive test – numbness, pain, tingling or other neurological symptoms is indicative of carpal tunnel syndrome/median nerve pathology
