Tuberculinum – What are the indications, key notes, and modalities?

- Respiratory tract infections (URTI, bronchitis, cough)
- Otitis media
- Lymphadenopathy
Constitutionally for discontentedness, restlessness, obstinate and violent behavior, head banging, alopecia, high metabolism
Key notes:
- Midline deformities (such as cleft palate),
- Desires milk and smoked meat
Modalities:
< heat, dry air
< cold, damp, first motion
For otitis media, dDx. Belladonna (high fever without thirst, < heat, motion), Chamomile (fever with intense sweating and thirst, < heat), Graphites (suppurative, cold but not > heat), Pulsatilla (thirstless, > cold)
For smoked meat craving, dDx. Causticum (> damp)
