Corydalis ambigua is an analgesic, sedative, antidepressant and psychoactive herb.

Indications:

  • Depression
  • Neuroses
  • Nerve damage, neuralgic pain

Contraindications:

  • Pregnancy

Interactions:

  • None

From a pharmacology perspective, mood stabilizers such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Phenelzine), atypical antidepressants (Bupropion), SSRIs (Fluoxetine, Trazodone), and tricyclic antidepressants (Amitriptyline) are beneficial in treating depression.
